Scope 3 – Indirect emissions
Relevant Scope 3 categories include:
- Business travel (limited, primarily rail where possible)
- Employee commuting (hybrid / remote model)
- Purchased goods and services (cloud hosting, SaaS platforms, professional services)
SQEPtech recognises Scope 3 as the most material source of emissions and focuses its reduction efforts accordingly.
Due to the nature and scale of SQEPtech’s operations, current emissions remain low and stable, with no material increase compared to baseline. Emissions are primarily associated with:
- Essential business travel
- Use of third-party cloud and software providers
SQEPtech has implemented, or is implementing, the following measures
- Predominantly remote and hybrid working model
- Reduced reliance on physical offices and commuting
- Digital-first delivery of services, training and assurance
- Minimal paper usage and electronic document management

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and approved by senior management at SQEPtech.
SQEPtech confirms its commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2050 and to supporting public sector partners in meeting their own sustainability and environmental objectives.
